So I don’t consider myself a big spender at all but I think I recently experienced the shopping rush that probably a LOT of people struggle with. My weakness is Disney. Just take all my money, Walt!! We went to a Disney Visa cardmember event at the Disney store last week and I bought a bunch of marked down items, plus there was a 25% off sale, plus I had a 20% coupon. I spent $74 on all this, which is a lot for me, I don’t want to do that very often, but when I did the math of the original price tags I saved nearly $200 or 72% (yeah, I’m a math geek too, probably another reason why I’m so into finance)!!
So all this to say, if you’re going to splurge and experience the rush do it smartly! Get the deals! And make sure it is stuff you will definitely use. Having a toddler, I buy things in the next several sizes and keep diaper boxes for each size so I can capitalize on sales and coupons and take my time collecting cheap items in each size. Then I know they’ll be worn! (If I bought this much stuff for myself, I’m not sure I would wear it all)
